Cleveland is the high flying team with the big star, but the hornets have surprised more ten one team this year and have put themselves just 1.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs.


Another game to watch is the Boston Celtics going into Utah to face the Jazz. With the trade of disgruntled guard Gordan Giricek to the 76ers for 3 point ace Kyle Korver, the Jazz will need some time to find their rhythm. You may want to take advantage of that. It will still be a close match up though and I am not going to bet it myself. If I was going to though, I would take Boston. They both have equal home and road regards of 10-2 respectively and Utah is getting around 3.5 points now. I like a home underdog generally and especially when it is east versus west, but with the trade and Boston's seemingly unstoppable offence it just seems unlikely the Jazz will win.

Strong NBA Covers For Tonight's Bets

It's a busy schedule tonight in the NBA. There are a few games that should be safe to bet, even with the spread. The first one requires 9.5-10 points to be covered, but I think that the Boston Celtics should be able to cover and more against the Chicago Bulls. They suffered their first home loss against the Detroit Pistons on Friday and this will be their bounce back game. Chicago is not having a great season and is 4-8 on the road, so I expect the Celtics to cover.

I also think it should be safe to look at the Detroit Pistons covering against the Memphis Grizzlies. Detroit is looking good and has held their last 4 opponents to under 90 points, one of them being Boston. The line is around 9.5 on this one as well, but I can't see that being an issue tonight. Another factor in Detroit's favor will be the possible absence of Pau Gasol, the Grizzlies leading re-bounder. He jammed his toe last week and has not returned to action yet. He will be a game time call tonight.

My last look is at the Utah Jazz visiting the Orlando Magic. Both teams are struggling a bit, but expect the Magic to cover the 3 points and take the game. Utah has really struggled on the road and has lost 7 straight. It is their worst road loss record since 2005. Orlando is only .500 at home and have only won 2 of their last 7, but on the road they are the best in the NBA and is show as overall they are 18-9. So the Jazz are a good fit for a Magic team looking to turn it around at home at 3 points.

NBA Tonight, A Few To Look At In The Betting Sports Game

There are only three games tonight and not much opportunity out there in the NBA. I don't think that the game between the New Jersey Nets and the Sacramento Kings fits into a low risk strategy. It is too high on the risk factor scale to be placing any amount of your bankroll on. Sacramento is 1 and 9 on the road, but with the Vegas line odds makers making the Nets a 5.5 point favorite it is hard to find the value.

The Los Angeles Lakers visiting the Chicago Bulls will be a good game and as some possibilities. The Lakers are riding Kobe and he is playing great. He has 36 points last game and even with some soreness in his groin he is playing spectacularly. I have seen the line giving the Lakers 2 points, so you may want to place a small bet on this one. I am going to avoid it myself, but we all have different risk factors and levels of betting strategy.

The last game tonight has the Toronto Raptors visiting the Los Angeles Clippers. The Raptors have been playing well for the most part lately. Chris Bosch is having a good year and leading the team in both points an rebounds and is also close to becoming the all time rebound leader for the Raptors. They are 6-4 in their last 10 and 6-5 on the road this season.on the other hand, the Clippers have a lot of injuries and Cuttino Mobley will be a game time call due to a stomach virus as will Tim Thomas, who missed the Clippers last game due to an ankle injury. If either or both are out the edge definitely swings to the Raptors. I have seen the line putting Toronto as a 5.5 point favorite and there is a good chance they can cover that.

People, including me in the past, look at this and think it is impossible. But, if you look at the number of games it bets versus the games played in a season it makes more sense. On the injury front not much has changed, Cleveland lost again on Saturday without Lebron James and Kobe Bryant couldn't have felt too much pain from his shoulder as he had 28 points and one of his best performances of the year overall in the Lakers 123-113 win over the Warriors in a great game.

Weekend NBA Action & A Few Key Injury Updates- The Betting Sports Game

NBA & MLB From The BSG Blog

There are only three games in the NBA tonight and from what I see not all of them are hot games to play if you are looking for low risk, safe bets. If anything seems a bit interesting it is the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Atlanta Hawks. While neither team is that strong, it is a good match up for the Hawks. They have won the last three at home and the Timberwolves are just 1 and 9 on the road and have lost their last 3 by a combined total of 65 points. Ouch!!. Joe Johnson will need to have a stronger game then he did against the Pistons and the Hawks need to give him a bit more support then he had in that game as well.

The Miami Heat at the Portland Trail Blazers is a bit riskier. The Heat haven't seen Dwayne Wade return to the form he had before his injuries. They are just 1-6 since his return and he has not shown the consistency that is needed for the Heat to turn things around. That said, the Heat have beaten the Blazers in their last 5 meetings so they could pull it out tonight if that stat holds to form. However, the Blazers are coming off of one of their best offensive performances this year with points coming from many players including 20 plus points from both Travis Outlaw, who came in off of the bench and Brandon Roy. Both teams have pluses in this game and with the line showing Miami favored by 3, you might want to avoid this one.

Lebron James is still out with his sprained finger and his return date still seems unclear. He has missed the last two games with the injury to his left index finger and today coach Mike Brown didn't make it sound like he would be back for in the near future.

When you get that ball in your hand, you have a lot of guys swiping at it. Officials think he's the strongest human in the world, but it's a tough thing to have to deal with.''

To me that doesn't sound reassuring, so I would avoid the Cavaliers if you are looking for safe bets the rest of this week or for the weekend. When I saw how all 3 of last night's games turned out I was shocked. Who would have expected the New York Knicks to fold like that to the Boston Celtics. Can you say 104-59. Unbelievable. It is the third worst loss ever for the Knicks and their second worst loss in the shot clock era. Here I was saying that I didn't think the Celtics would cover the 12-1/2 points. How wrong I was, but I play low risk bets, so I won't complain. The betting sports games can't predict everything, especially scores like this.

So, it this the bottom for the Knicks? I thought they were possibly picking up the pieces and starting to solidify their play, but now I think they need to look at everything again. How do you have a melt down like that. Expect them to come out charged up for their next game but I wouldn't expect great things from them soon.

I also avoided the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets game which turned out to be a 113-94 win for the Warriors. I am glad I did. The Warriors have now won eight of their last nine after starting 0-6. That is an NBA record as the Warriors are now the team to be the fastest to get a winning record after starting 0-6. Who keeps these records anyhow? I wonder where the plaque for that record is hanging at the Hall of Fame?

The win came on the back of Al Harrington shutting down Yao Ming. The "small" Harrington, Yao is 9 inches taller, held the big man to a season low 10 points while netting 18 of his own. Yao only shot 4 for 12 and also had 5 turn overs, all thanks to Harrington's play. On the offensive side of things Baron Davis led the way for the Warriors with 27 points and 8 assists.

Some Surprises Today In The NBA

Well, it was a bit of a surprise to me to see Boston go down to Cleveland tonight 109 to 104 in OT. Especially when Cleveland had a 3 and 3 home record going in and Boston was 4 and 1 on the road and a 4 point favorite tonight. But when you have Lebron on your side anything is possible, especially in front of the home town fans. The Cav's needed to make a statement and I think they did that tonight.

A smaller surprise would have to be the loss at home by New Jersey to Memphis, 110 to 103. Memphis was a 6 point dog in this one but somehow managed to pull off a 10 point win. With everyone pitching in, 5 players in double figures, and a 23-8 start to the 2nd quarter, the Nets were in deep. Vince Carter managed 32, but it wasn't enough in this one.

Well, at least Miami and Chicago managed to cover the Vegas sports odds line. You never know how things will work out, but there always seems to be a way to cash in on the betting sports game.

NBA Versus NFL For Betting Safety

How did your weekend playing the betting sports game go? I had a great one in the NBA and posted a big gain into my bankroll. I broke even in the NFL and that is why I only bet a few games there versus the majority of my bets going to the NBA.

I always find that the NBA is a lot safer to bet on and easier to find consistent winners with The SportsBettingChamp System and always recommend it to anyone that asks. If you follow the NBA, you know that you can predict a lot of the final positions of teams just based on last years record and the player movements that each team has. So, if I win the weekend's NFL bets I am up A LOT. If I don't win them, I break even because of the betting systems bets. I am often asked how I can win consistently at sports betting when most people feel that they are doing well if they win one here or there. While all of these sources may turn up a good pick now and then, they are generally the sexy picks that have big possible pay outs and should not be considered reliable enough to be betting on without solid back up. My solid back up is a sports betting system that consistently wins by playing a small percentage of games that are a virtual lock to win. The result of using this betting system is a group of games that are going to add to your bankroll and keep adding to it. This will give stability to your bankroll and allow you to analyze other sources for bets that you will have a lower chance of winning but will pay off bigger due to the Las Vegas sports odds and allow for the big win. Here is an example of what I am talking about. For the 2006 basketball season I used my system to bet on less then 100 NBA games. This is a very small percentage of games when you look at the typical schedule, which has each team playing 82 games and there are 30 teams. I will let you do the math, it's a lot of games, but I only bet a few of them. You may ask why? Well, the system that I use analyzes the games as the season goes on and picked those games as winners with very low risk. And guess what, it was right, as I only lost 2 of those bets. My bankroll grew steadily on every other bet. I didn't always have huge wins, there were some, but they all had positive results on my bankroll and allowed me to play other parts of the betting sports game.
